    Chavez Dead- Hope born

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     veneboy left Venezuela as a teenager and says his life "was completely altered by that man." He says the phone lines are jammed, so he can't call his family there, but said he's talked with them by email and Facebook. "They tell me they are optimistic of the future we can have now," he said.
    - davidw, CNN iReport producer

I left Venezuela when i was 17 in 2002. I could no longer live in a coutnry with such oppression and despair. I have never voted in a Venezuelan election. I don't believe that they can be fair elections in Venezuela. I cannot hide or surgar coat the joy I feel to see this dicator dead. He has been responsible for so much suffering in our country. The Venezuelan people need to wake up from this nightmare. As long as the elections are not rigged, Venezuela will have the chance to be a free nation again. We can finalyl focus on reducing poverty, crime, improving education, health, tourism, etc. For the first time in 14 years, I have hope.
