This is a follow-up story to earlier iReport:  Secret killing mission of Jamat-e-Islam Bangladesh

Police on Monday arrested 8 Jamaat-e-Islam activists from Chittagong’s Muradpur with a ‘hit list’ on them.

Panchlaish Police Station Sub-Inspector Mohammad Parvez told that local people caught a youth for his suspicious movement near Muradpur Sunnia Madrasa at noon and then handed him over to the law enforcers.

Acting on his confessional statement, the 7 others were arrested at a mess in the city’s Kala Mia Bazar under Bakolia Police Station, he added.

He said that, police recovered the ‘hit list’, containing names of 10 teachers of the *Sunni Jamia Madrassa* from them.

The Hit-Listed teachers of Sunni Jamia Madrassa are:

Here to be noted that, teachers of Sunni Jamia Madrassa always gave explanation of the misleading Islamic fake story announced by Jamaat-e-Islam in the name of Islam to attain their popularity over illiterate common villagers.
And these teachers were always respectful towards our Bangladesh and its constitutions. And that’s why, they always faced protest from Jamaat-e-Islam.

Besides, these 10 teachers were targeted as these teachers told in their public lectures that, the notorious convicted war-criminal Delawar Hossain Sayedee was truly exploiting people’s favor in the name of Islam and even Delawar Hossain Sayedee did/told so many anti-Islamic things in the name of Islam.

The police official said the arrestees confessed that the list was prepared for killing the teachers.
