The Island Country of Malta has an incredible history and so much culture, which I am happy to say that I am part Maltese. I visit Malta every couple of years and each time I go I learn something new about this country. Malta is known for its beaches and as a summer getaway for Europe, but it is so much more. It had a significant role in World War II as well as been a shipping hub for the Mediterranean Sea. In the capital city of Valletta sits the Grand Harbor, one of the deepest natural harbors in the Mediterranean. One day as my family and I are walking to the Upper Barrakka Gardens to view this immense harbor I happened to look down a road that truly showed a traditional Maltese Road in Valletta and at the end of the road the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea.
