This is a story about a on going conflict between two groups in Myanmar. The news and happening are mainly covered by local media and in local luggage ,so most people outside of Myanmar do not know the situation in Myanmar.
This story is based on the events transpired recently in a southeast Asian nation , Myanmar or Formerly known as Burma. If you view this story breifly this may seems like an ordinery news, a group of Muslims being prvoked by the local people. I promise you this in not a regular event and bare with me till the end of the essay.
I chose this name "The Abuse Of Freedom" because the haters of peace and illitrade media are abusing the freedoms of speech and press. And by domino effect the freedom of certain people and their busines are being abused. Even though the whole country is shifting to better political state the morale of the people is deteriorating.
For those of you who have not heard about Myanmar, we have recently gone through a major political change. It was a military dictatorship before and now it is a Republic country. So most things that were restricted and closely monitored have become much loose and free. Such freedom of press and freedom of speech have been liberated. With this there came a price the price was that what used to be military's political scapegoat has now come into focus of the local people. The people were misinformed before , you might even say brain washed to hate Indian decedents and Islamic culture. Before the libation whenever the military felt a political treat they would start a moral war between Muslims and Buddhist. Buddhist being the minority in the world the fear is that their people maybe converted to Islams. The military has always played on that fear factor as soon as things started to get physical they would step in and be a hero in the public's eye.
Now the military has stepped down and there "coincidentally" there was a riot in Rakhine region between Rohinger peoples and Rakhine people. Just for the record Myanmar people were not that found of Rakhine but it being one of the main ethnic group of Myanmar the majority stood for Rakhine. Most Myanmar agreed that Rohingers are immigrants and they should go back to Bangladesh. I am not going to go into detail whether they should go or stay there is still an ongoing debate the UN came and couldn't solve it (What a shame) but let me move on to the main matter. So this so-called riot triggered the poor brain washed Buddhist people the fear factor of loosing their religion. Now if that were the case I would fight along side with Buddhist , I love the fact the my country is an exotic Buddhism practicing country. Sadly that is not true. By the way i can see how you may all be cynical about Muslims because middle east people has spoiled the name. These Muslims in Myanmar are very mild and they are full South East Asians. They can't be differentiated from the Buddhist unless you see them on their prayer time or Friday. Of course some of them are Indian decedent so they look different from Myanmar.
Of course there is always two side to the story , Myanmar have the right to be scared because the is a group of Muslims called tabliq. Tabliq is like orthodox jews or Armish people , they do not approve of regular clothing or regular way of life for that matter. Tabliq want Muslims to live in Muslim way but the problem is what the Tabliq thinks the muslim way is actually the mixture of every culture from Suadi to India. The reason that Tabliq way is being the mixture of foreign cultures is because of the Idiology of Islam travel trough different cultures and countries. Thoses different cultures and countries tweek Islam. So when Myanmars ,without the knowledge of what i mentioned above, sees a Tabliq with a long beard , a faz and different colthing they are right to be protective of their religion. So Myanmar people fired up from Rakhine riot has now turned it hatred toward every muslim and Indian looking people. Now the Myanmar is connoring and beating ,morally , its every last muslims mainly. They are even following the path of Adolf Hiter ,I dare say.
As I promised this is not a regular Muslim matter it has a solution. If you are wondering in fact i am implying that most Muslim matters have no solution. So my solution is something that I have learn from watching many American sit coms. INTERVENTION. The budhist in Myanmar should be told not to be afraid of Muslims and/or their culture. Budhist Myanmar should know that Tabliq is a bit lost in its way. And Myanmar muslim should be taught to practice in their hearts more and show it off last. And this intervention sadly could not be done locally we will get crusified for pulling a stunt like that . We need international intervention regardless of what the local goverment thinks.
