DO THE STRAY ANIMALS OF GREECE HAVE A VOICE IN THE EU?
THAT is what that stray dog (Pictured) from Lamia Greece wants to know,
WHO AND WHERE IS HIS VOICE IN THE EU?
Eurogroup for Animals (CLAIMS) to be the leading voice for animal welfare at EU level, they say ''We are providing a voice for the billions of animals kept in laboratories, farms and homes or living in the wild. Our mission - (Building a Europe that cares for animals)''
WE AT GREECE EXPOSED AGREE - (Building a Europe that cares for animals) THAT INCLUDES GREECE!!! THEY ARE A MEMBER OF THE EU!!!!!
Eurogroup for Animals says of their (vision) ''we are passionate about creating a society where animal welfare is fully considered and where every animal should live in an environment where they can perform their natural behaviour - Cruelty to animals is not tolerated - The welfare of all animals is protected by European legislation - All EU laws on the protection of animals are effective and prevent animal suffering''
Eurogroup for Animals describe themselves as ''We are recognised by the European Parliament and Commission as the leading animal welfare organisation at EU level and represent animal welfare interests on many EU advisory committees and consultation bodies. Our expertise and professionalism makes us a respected partner and advisor''
THIS IS GREAT, Eurogroup for Animals are recognised by the European Parliament and Commission as the leading animal welfare organisation at EU level.
So, our stray dog from Lamia Greece who asks the question ''WHO AND WHERE IS my VOICE IN THE EU?'' must have an answer = Eurogroup for Animals
HOW DOES Eurogroup for Animals obtain their information on animal welfare issues in Greece?
GAWF/Animal Action (Greek Animal Welfare Fund) is the organisation that advises Eurogroup for Animals on animal welfare issues in Greece. SO THE STRAY DOG MUST HAVE A VOICE?
GREEK STRAYS > GAWF/Animal Action > Eurogroup for Animals > EU
On February 20 2013 Eurogroup for Animals where asked the following question with referrance to their publication (Animals in Europe #35 - February 2013)
''I am little disappointed about the fact that there is NOT ONE WORD about strays and ferals. But I hope this doesn't mean that you would have forgotten them - I hope the EU legislation will develop even further to this direction and also give legal protection to the non-owned cats and dogs as they need it desperately''
Eurogroup for Animals REPLIED
''Whilst we recognize that stray animals can experience significant welfare issues, it is left to Member States to establish rules on stray animals. We have focused our companion animals work on the key issues that can best be addressed at the EU level''
WHAT DOES THAT ANSWER MEAN??
GREECE EXPOSED asks Eurogroup for Animals
''Eurogroup for Animals can you be more spacific with your answer. You are advised on animal welfare issues in Greece by GAWF/Animal Action, When referring to the welfare of STRAYS (If) we understand your answer, what you are saying is that Eurogroup for Animals ''recognize that stray animals can experience significant welfare issues, it is left to Member States to establish rules on stray animals'' that is telling us therefore that GAWF/Animal Action will NOT report any welfare issues regards any stray animals in Greece to you as it is left to the Greek government to establish rules (welfare) of their stray animals. WHAT VOICE THEREFORE, DO THE STRAY ANIMALS OF GREECE HAVE AT EU LEVEL, WHO IS THERE VOICE IF YOU ARE NOT?
WE AWAIT THEIR RESPONCE THE QUESTIONS REMAINS,
DO THE THOUSANDS OF STRAY ANIMALS OF GREECE HAVE A VOICE IN THE EU?
