This iReport is part of an assignment:
We Got Snowed
Now you may be wondering and asking yourself, “Who cares?” I said the same thing until I realized that many of the schools are closed in several states, moms or dads are at home with the kids, and the transportation departments of these states spent enormous amounts of money being prepared for this. How much? I haven’t heard.
Who is to blame for this mess? No one, obviously. Meteorologists are one of the few careers where you can make massive mistakes and still keep your job. I’m not complaining about the weatherman though. I am more concerned about how weather like this can impact the budgets of our state? Where do we make up the shortfall for our budgets? It only makes sense to take it out of the education of our kids and the pensions of our teachers. (In actuality, it doesn’t make sense). I hope that we don’t have too many more of these.
