The owner of BMW, Takia Walker 29, in NYC has been arrested and charged with insurance fraud and buying and registering her car under false pretenses. How did she get caught? She lent her BMW to a friend who then lent it to another friend who was involved in a hit and run accident that killed a couple rushing to the hospital to give birth. The child who was rescued via Caesarean has since passed on. The alleged driver , Julio Acevedo, had served time in prison for a killing in 1987 and was arrested last month on DUI charges. He claims to have been speeding because someone was shooting at him. He did surrender today in Pennsylvania and is in a local jail there awaiting extradition to New York. Acevedo's wife, Dorothy, stated she was afraid for his and her family's safety because of city wide rage over this event. As for Takia, she is in a world of trouble all because she loaned her car out to a friend who loaned it out to someone she did not know.
