    Sinister or Just Incompetent?

    Hugo Chavez, the dictator/president of Venezuela, died yesterday. Although some people might say he was a great leader, the fact of the matter is he was on a crusade against human rights and prosperity. He may have lifted many people out of poverty, but it could have been so many more if he followed capitalist ideals. The question should not be whether or not he was a terrible president. It should be was he sinister or just incompetent? In other words, was he terrible because he was only looking out for his own interests rather than the interests of the nation? Or did he truly want to help his fellow countrymen/women but he simply didn't choose the correct way to do it? I honestly don't know. What are your thoughts?
