    Observing the Observer

On March 6, 2013 scores of people congregated by the doors of Winton ‘Niney’ Holness’ newly opened studio, Observer Soundbox, on Lyndhurst Road, Kingston. While relaxing in his quaintly constructed studio, the Observer, as many rightly call him, shared his plans of ultimately re-creating music and bringing Reggae back to the heart and homes of many. He also shared his hopes of finding the “next big thing” outside his studio doors.
Niney spoke longingly of his passion for the art, as well as his own list of favourites from what he describes as being the best decade of music, the 70s.
“I want to see the time when music coming out of Jamaica will be, important to another man.”
