MORPHED PICTURE OF WOMEN'S STATUS
Its 8 March , 2013 . One century passed this day has been celebrated as 'International women's day ' .
The motive of celebrating this day is to raise awareness about survival challenges of other half of the society who are treated as second rated citizen no matter educated , uneducated , skilled, unskilled .
Despite all problems social and mythological history is not empty of women who left mark in every religion . Gargi , Durga in Hinduism , Dalit Buddhist Madhurima , Malli in Jainism, Women's Akali Wing in Sikhism, Razia Sultan in Islam , Mother Mary in Christian religion thought and did out of the box in their time.
So, what is the reason of this slow pace development of women just to have respectable position like other gender ? Whose fault this is ? We can not blame only men folk for this women are equally responsible . There is a saying ' no pain no gain' . Women are accustomed with double standard life style from their birth to death . They prefer to be hypocrite rather than honest . Until and unless we leave this mindset how can change our status ? When as a mother , sister , girl friend , wife , daughter , colleague we change ourselves our counterparts will change definitely.
India , notable country of river Ganges ( purity ) , now notorious for unsafe capital for women, across world . Though the chief minister of the capital city is woman for two consecutive electorate years yet where is the fault lies ? To change this ill system in a society can not be one man/woman show but where we are lacking ? Each section of society responsible for the degrading situation. WE ALWAYS HIGHLIGHT THE VICTIM NOT THE CULPRIT . THIS ATTITUDE PROVED AGAIN AND AGAIN DANGEROUS IN OUR SOCIETY.
This example is just tip of the iceberg . We all know the solution but what we need is willingness and selfless co-operation .
If we can not help or inspire others doing something better at least learn not to pull back like crabs . If we have no capacity to give a bird wings no right to cut its wings .
