Police knows no mercy!
An opposition supporter in Cox's Bazar is seen surrounded by at least a dozen police members. All of the law enforcing members went berserk on the opposition man as he was somehow left behind from a procession.
The opposition supporters were demanding cancellation of a verdict handed down to a Jamaat-e-Islami leader Maolana Delware Hossain Sayedee. They termed the verdict controversial and urged the government to release their leader.
In the meantime, many international rights groups including Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have called Bangladesh government to stop repression on political dissidence and maintain human rights in the country.
More than 123 people have been killed in Bangladesh in the first week of March 2013. Rights groups have condemned police for firing on the people indiscriminately. They have also urged the politicians to respect law as at least 5 police members are reported dead in mob attack on two separate police station.
