    Christian Settlement Ransacked in Islamic Republic of Pakistan

    Blasphemy allegations levied on a Christian man (Sawan Masih), by a Muslim based on personal enmity resulted in a mob hysteria by the Muslim majority living in that area on Saturday (9th march, 2013). According to initial reports a cleric of the local mosque fuelled hate messages from the mosques loud speakers and mobilized a planned mob attack, in which the attackers were armed with hammers and iron rods. Two Churches have been burnt, numerous Bibles burnt and Christian property including and over 200 homes have been destroyed and looted.
