    Another saturday protest in Iceland

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     ander documented a protest in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland, on March 9. He says last year there was a national referendum on a new constitution, but he says now the government is not recognizing the new constitution that has been voted on by the Icelandic people. He says the speakers in at the protests are demanding that parliament accept the referendum. 'And that they would protest every Saturday until the government follows the rules and accepts what the people of Iceland want,' he said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Today was still another saturday protest meeting in downtown Reykjavik.
People are still protesting that the Goverment is not going to respect the National Referendum last year about accepting a new Constitution for Iceland .
The new Constitution gives the public more power to put matters to a national referendum and more.
Looks like that the political system in Iceland do not like to give power to the people of Iceland.

Birgitta Jonsdottir, member of parliament and others held speaches - critisicing the parliament and politcal paries for not wanting to follow the national referendum, and do what the the people of Iceland want - a new constitution .
