I've traveled to many unique places around the world, but sometimes we forget about the beautiful views in our own backyard. I've lived in DC for over eight years, and walking by some of our nation's most recognizable landmarks on a daily basis never gets old. Every now and then, I'm lucky enough to catch these landmarks against the backdrop of an incredible sunset. Such is the case with the Kennedy Center here, reflecting onto the Potomac River as viewed from the Georgetown Waterfront. This particular sunset created a unique blend of light pinks, blues and purples that just looks amazing and transforms the Potomac into a body of water that actually looks inviting! It is also a great reminder of all the wonderful sights that DC has to offer.
