Ak-Chin Indian Community Honored at 2013 RED Awards
The Multi-tainment Center was one of more than 100 projects submitted for the annual awards. The venue is more than 165,000 square-feet and houses a state-of-the-art digital cinema with 3D capabilities and motion seats;;in-seat food and beverage service in Star Class balcony seating; a 24-lane bowling center that includes an 8-lane private party section with fireplace , an outdoor amphitheater, a two-story laser tag arena, a video game arcade; a sports bar, offering pool tables, darts and other games as well as a full-service restaurant that seats 138 with outdoor dining and a bubble wall.
“We are proud to be honored for a project that not only benefits the Ak-Chin Indian Community, but also surrounding cities,” said Ak-Chin Tribal Chairman Louis J. Manuel, Jr. “ With the addition of hundreds of jobs, the new UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle provides a future for the economic development for our Community and its neighbors.”

About Ak-Chin Indian Community:
The Ak-Chin Indian Community is nestled into the Santa Cruz Valley of Southern Arizona. The Community lies 58 miles south of Phoenix in the northwestern part of Pinal County. Ak-Chin is an O'odham word translated to mean "mouth of the wash" or "place where the wash loses itself in the sand or ground.” Ak-Chin has an enrollment of more than 937 tribal members.
