What Are You Grateful For?
are grateful for on the Shoreditch Art Wall (SAW) at 17-19 Great Eastern Street, London, EC2,
in an interactive community art project that runs until the 16th March, as part
the iDeedGood/I AM GRATEFUL campaign.
Members of the public are posting contributions on the 60 sq. metre Shoreditch Art Wall
answering the question, "What Are You Grateful For?”
And, everyone is invited to join in.
Antoine Minvielle from Collaborative Artists Network comments, "It’s amazing, because when
people are walking down the street and you ask them what they are grateful for, at least they
stop for a second and think about it."
Hassan Mawji, iDeedGood campaign leader said, “The iDeedGood team launched this campaign in an
attempt to remind everyone of the simple notion of gratefulness, which is often forgotten in
our daily lives." Continuing, “The response is phenomenal; we already have over 1,000 posts,
in a range of languages, including French, Spanish, Arabic and Swahili! People were grateful
for all sorts of things, even though the economy is down and London keeps being covered in
Peter Mackeonis of SAW adds, "Even though the wall has many commercial clients including: 20th
Century Fox, Disney, Paramount, Oakley, Adidas, Beck's Beer, Namco Bandai and Gin in Teacups,
the community and charity events are always the most rewarding and the most fun."
Following on from unprecedented success in New York’s Union Square in December of last year,
the 'I AM GRATEFUL' campaign will move on to other great cities around the world.
