Catholics: Your views on new pope

    An emotional moment

I'm not a member of the Catholic church, but I'll be honest...for a moment I had to blink back tears.
Not because of the newly elected Pope himself but because of the people in the square.

The flags of so many different nations, standing side by side, not in competition as in the Olympics, but in a common belief of spirit and hope.

I noticed a man with a German flag hug the man next to him who carried a Canadian flag.
There was a good chance that these two people couldn't communicate with each other, but in that moment words weren't necessary.

It was a beautiful thing to behold.
I am blessed to have witnessed it.

(The above pic of the cross I took with my cellphone from a dock close to my home I thought it appropriate :) )
