CNN PRODUCER NOTE Nigerian Catholic bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah was "delighted" to hear that Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio from Argentina had been elected to the papacy. "The pope cannot change the world," he said. "However, we hope that the rest of the world will buy into the notion that life is service to one another and that we are stronger because we are together." He also said that he hopes that a pope from a different part of the world will "tame and reverse" the attitudes of powerful nations towards weaker ones.
