    Cyprus Crisis

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     TV director George Georgiou spotted long lines outside banks in the Cypriot city of Nicosia Thursday. The island has until Monday to agree a revised bailout with the European Union or face economic ruin. Banks have been shuttered since the weekend, when plans announced to impose a levy on people's savings sparked a run on financial institutions. "The atmosphere is the beginning of panic," he said. "During their lunch breaks people were running in the streets to get to an ATM. Concerts and events are starting to get cancelled [and] people at work, all they talk about is the politician and banks who drove us to this state." Read about what could happen next for Cyprus.
