Today's forgiveness does just the opposite of what forgiveness is supposed to do - put another way, secular forgiveness causes more harm than good. The one doing the forgiving is never made whole again, while the one sinning is left in the same wretched condition. But true Christian forgiveness is a blessing to all. After reading “The Sin of Forgiveness,” readers will know the beauty of true Christian forgiveness, perhaps for the first time.
“The Sin of Forgiveness” is a well-written and easy to follow commentary on the confusion in the Christian church today concerning forgiveness. Its author, Edward F. Mrkvicka, Jr. points out that because many Christians have mixed biblical forgiveness with worldly “wisdom,” they are at risk of disobedience to God and have put their salvation at risk.
The book explains that when we don't live by the Scriptures, but instead follow the ways of the world, there is a price to pay. Forgiveness is no exception.
