I think the Obama administration must really  restart the peace talk between Israel and Palestine. I believe the  Middle East is the number one priority-concern of the Obama  administration when it comes to foreign policy. The Middle East is a  strategic part of the global economy because of its very rich oil  reserves. The said region is a vital workplace for migrant workers from  all over the world. The region provides huge market for various  multinational companies. There are plenty of business opportunities in  the Middle East. A stable Middle East region would mean a much more  prosperous global economy. One of the major issues in the Middle East  today is Palestinian sovereignty and independence.

If Israel and  Palestine can finalize their peace agreement, then such would mean that  a harmonious relationship between Israelis and Palestinians would be  realized. Such would also mean that the Palestinians can now build their  own country and have their own sovereignty and independence. A  harmonious relationship between Israelis and Palestinians may also pave  the way for Israel to have a lasting peace with all of its neighbors in  the Middle East region.

If the conflict between Israel and  Palestine has been resolved through a finalized peace agreement, then  all the other major issues in the Middle East today, like the issue of  Iran wanting to have nuclear weapons and the demands for democratization  in various countries in the said region, can be resolved as well with  the help of the international community. That's why I think the Obama  administration should really make it a point to restart the stalled  peace talk between Israel and Palestine.
