    Snow Baseball

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     mgvideo1 was driving to an appointment in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania, when he noticed a team of baseball players at Gannon University shoveling several inches of snow off their baseball field on March 22 for their weekend game. He says the team cleared approximately 18 inches of snow off the field, which had accumulated in the last three days. 'This time of year, you might get a freak storm, but for this much snow to fall continuously is unusual,' he said. The Gannon University baseball team ended up winning both their weekend games, but mgvideo1 says snow is forecasted for their area for the next few days, which means possibly more shoveling for the team.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

Snow in March is nothing new in Erie, Pennsylvania. Baseball players at Gannon University don't mind a flurry or two, but well over a foot of snow in three days with games on the schedule is just a bit to much.

Mike Gallagher from Erie, PA paid a visit to the team's practice where players traded in their baseball bats for snow shovels.
