Valdez Alaska Buried in Snow March 24, 2013

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Valdezian is an engineer for the Alyeska Pipeline SERVS in the tiny town of Valdez, Alaska. It snowed all weekend and now the snow is almost 5 feet deep, he said. According to the National Weather Service, the town has received 53 inches of snow since March 1!

Valdezian had a little message for people in the lower 48 states: 'We receive this much snow every year, we had even more last, but we just deal with it and don't complain about it. We just go somewhere warm at least once during the winter to vacation to help cope with the amount of snow we receive each year. To the people of the lower 48, I would just say, quit complaining about getting a few feet of snow. In Valdez a few feet is just a typical day in the winter season.'
