The Narrows - Zion National Park
The spectacular gorge has soaring walls which were carved out by the Virgin River. Much of the hike is spent wading in the river. We hiked the river in February which meant the water was freezing and we had to wear dry suits but it also meant we had the river all to ourselves. We spent 7 hours on our hike and didn't run into any other tourists. The views were spectacular and every angle looks different depending on how the light or shadows reflect on the rocks. You can look at the same piece of rock in various colors in various times of the day.
