    United In Prayer Journey

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     HopeRaiser says she started her journey from Phoneix, Arizona, on March 13 and drive across the country to Newtown, Connecticut on March 23, documenting their road trip along the way to commerate the three month anniversary since the Sandy Hook shooting. She says when you look through her video you see 'a journey inspired by Newtown,' she said. 'Hopefully, it will spark a movement of healing hearts, connecting people and sharing love for humanity.' She is part of Hope Raisers, an organization that aims to raise hope in areas that endured tragedy, explaining how one of her first projects was working with the city of Joplin after a tornado devasted the area. 'We operate on the belief that a few moments [of hope] can impact a life and we all have a few moments to share,' she said.

On March 14, the 3 month anniversary of the tragedy in Newtown, a group of Hope Raisers went on a 10 day, 4,000 journey across our country. We had rally stops along the way where free prayer posters were handed out for our nation to write on. We asked the simple question "How are you praying for our nation, our leaders, our families or our children?" The responses were bold, especially from the littlest ones. Some children filled an entire prayer posterity no help from adults. We ended our journey at Newtown Christian Church where a youth group from New London joined us and wrote prayers for the city of Newtown and each Sandy Hook family that lost a loved one.

We thought this was the end of our journey but we now realize that it is just the beginning of a movement across our nation to respectfully but boldly share the prayers of its people.
