Reacciones tras las elecciones presidenciales en Venezuela

    Venezolanos protestan en Nueva York

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     AndreaCMC Andrea voted in New Orleans, LA. When she went back to her residence in New York, a friend alerted her about the protests in front of the Venezuelan Consulate in NYC. Andrea says that she was only expecting to see about 50 people protesting but assures she was surprised when she saw about 200 Venezuelans at the 51st street. Andrea says the Venezuelans were screaming: "Capriles President, we want a recount. This is a fraud. This is Venezuela not Cuba. Our votes count," the last outcry, she states, it's because there are rumors that the votes abroad were not counted. Andrea adds that Americans were also in the protest saying: "Go Venezuelans. Free Venezuela." According to the iReporter, the rally was spontaneous. Nothing was planned. Andrea describes that when Venezuelans in New York saw other similar protests in cities as Atlanta and Washington, they coordinated efforts and decided to do the same. She concludes that the event was coordinated via text message.
