Travel photo of the day
Edinburgh Castle at Night
I asked the Hilton Caledonian for 2 things. 1) A high floor 2) A great view. Thank you Hilton Caledonian! On the first night that we arrived in Edinburgh, I opened the curtains from our bedroom to see this site. The room had an old window that I could just lift high enough to get my camera out. Having the camera kept stationary on the window sill helped to capture this photo of Edinburgh Castle in the night. Edinburgh Castle has stood strong upon this rock since the 12th Century. When you see the castle in the daylight, you can see why this castle is impenetrable on the back side. The rocks are so steep and no army would dare attack from this side of the castle.
