    Curry Leaf

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     alamelu says indoor garden projects, like this tiny potted plant, are great for snow-covered winters. 'During this season we can make terrariums for us to admire when the world outside is covered with snow. Plant baskets as gifts are ideal to cheer-up those who look forward to spring and greenery in their world.' She says herbs are generally easy to maintain with a few small efforts. 'The curry leaf plant will outgrow the small pot in two or three years. Plant it in grainy soil. It requires minimum watering and a warm and shady spot to grow into a healthy plant. Once the roots are well established we can repot the plant into a larger pot and care for it by adding water and fertilizer regularly. '

The scented green leaf ( in pictures 1 & 2) aids digestion of food and promotes the growth of healthy shiny dark hair and long eyelashes. I add the leaves to the vegetable and lentil dishes I prepare for meals during the day.

    Happy Earth Day. (pictures 3&4)
