BOMB SCARE IN WILMETTE, IL TODAY, 4/22/2013

BOMB SCARE IN WILMETTE, IL TODAY, 4-22-2013. ON CENTRAL ST. IN FRONT OF THE POST OFFICE A MAN WHO IS THERE EVERY DAY ALWAYS LEAVES A HUGE RED DUFFLE BAG IN FRONT AND WALKS AWAY FOR A BIT. MANY PEOPLE HAD NOTIFIED THE POSTAL WORKERS INSIDE, WHOM TOLD MANAGEMENT, BUT I GUESS THE BOSTON BOMBS WAS FINALLY ENOUGH TO ALLOW THE MANAGEMENT TO TAKE ACTION. I HAD TOLD THEM MYSELF, THE 1ST TIME I SAW IT LAYING BY ITSELF, THAT IT LOOKED KIND OF FISHY, BEING A GOV. BUILDING. TODAY ON MY 2ND TRIP(I AM A FREQUENT COSTUMER)TO THE POST OFFICE MY MOTHER NOTICED THE STREET WAS BLOCKED OFF; AND SINCE I NEEDED TO RUN A PACKAGE INSIDE, I WAS ABLE TO INFORM A VERY ATTENTIVE, REASONABLE, AND UNDERSTANDING POLICE OFFICER, THAT THIS WAS THE BAG OF A HOMELESS(LOOKING)MAN THAT SITS THERE EVERYDAY, JUST ABOUT. THEY WERE ABLE TO CLEAR THE SITUATION UP THEN WITHIN MINUTES; FREEING EVERYONES ACTIVITIES BACK TO NORMAL WITHIN MINUTES. GOOD POLICE WORK I'D SAY, EVERYONE WAS KIND OF FRUSTRATED THAT HAD TO LEAVE THE POST OFFICE AND THEY SEEMED MUCH MORE RELAXED AND CHEERFUL AFTER THE ORDEAL. WAS OVER.
