Nomad Women at the Taj Mahal

I visited India in February of 2013. I've been to many countries in Asia but India was truly the most magical and intense. It's a difficult place to soak in.

I was taken to this location across the river from the Taj Mahal by the Indian man that was showing me around Agra. As I walked back and forth, Indian children begged for coins and chocolate on the other side of a fence. The sad fact is that you must ignore them or hordes of others will swarm the area.

I was enjoying the sunset and scenery...across the river was the Taj Majal, as well as the ceremonial burning of a body to be placed in the river. I looked to my left and was mesmerized by a group of women and girls passing by. They walked past me slowly with their goats in tow quietly and gracefully. I needed to capture this moment! They were so elegant and I didn't want to disturb them with any attention. This is the shot that I captured and it was a truly magical moment for me.
