    Debate night in America

    More from baxstage

    Were any questions really answered?

I watched the debate last night and quite frankly I want my 90 minutes back.  I do not think that either one of them showed a true plan of attack with the economy or for that matter leading the country.  From what I heard, the most important thing to them was to make sure that everyone knew the bad things about each other.  What ever happened to an educated and civil debate?  I think they were both incredibly rude to each other and instead of giving a clear answer to the "five minute questions" they just talked around and around for about twenty minutes.  The moderator rephrased the question multiple times and I still did not feel as though I got a complete answer from either of them.  Even though I had been leaning toward Obama, last night truly made me not even want to vote for either one of them.  I think the problem seriously comes from the bureaucracy in this country.  No one can ever work together on anything.  Look at how bills are passed:  a bunch of extra stuff is tacked onto a bill and instead of arguing about one main issue they are worrying about twenty others which drowns out the real issue and nothing that will actually help our country be a better place gets passed.  If the republicans like something it usually means the democrats have a problem with it just in spite of the republicans.  People need to open their eyes and make some serious change to the way our government works because until that happens it won't matter if we have the perfect president, nothing will get better in our country.
