Remembering Paul Newman |
He Defined Cool
I was a teenager and he was my first love. Of course it was a perfect love, I saw him on the screen and he couldn't see me, but those piercing bule eyes looked out from that screen directly at me. He was sexy, strong, funny, brave, compasionate and and loved life. In my young years he was want signified the perfect mate. When I got a little older I met him at a political function and it was hard to control myself. I was no longer a giddy teenager, I was a grandmother who felt like sixteen again. He was just a nice warm man who looked at me with those eyes took my hand and spoke to me. I don't remember what he said because at that moment I was sixteen and in awe. As we both aged he made less movies, but lived a Good inspirational life. He really was what we saw on the screen. I went home the night I met him to my own verison of Paul Newman. My thoughts are with Joanne and his family, he will truly be missed.
