    Bailout outrage

    More from CatherineLL

Will I ever be able to buy a house?

I am twenty years old and in the six months I have already been laid off twice from two different jobs.  I don't qualify for unemployment because I am also a full time student. I wouldn't be able to pay any of my bills without the help of my boyfriend and parents.

I have to rent out my parents' house with several roommates because my dad got transferred a few thousands miles away and my parents would have lost all the equity in their home if they would have sold (if someone actually would have had the money to purchase their home).

The more time I spend focusing on my school the less I have to focus on my job.  I can't lose another one because no one is really hiring anymore.  When I graduate college am I going to be able to find a decent job?

Will I have to continue to rent out my parents' house because they can't afford to sell it?  Will I ever be able to make a down payment on a house of my own if I can't find a job?

I could sure use a small piece of 700 billion dollars.  The people who messed up don't deserve this money - they have had their chance.  I am lucky enough to have people that support me and I feel like I don't have a chance.  When I lost my jobs I didn't receive ANY compensation, I didn't even receive notice.  I just didn't have a job anymore.  There are so many people in our country who never had any opportunities and have always just scraped by on minimum wage.  They can't afford education, health care, or basic necessities.

Why can't we let the CEO's and the other people who are going to lose money see how the other half lives?  Why do we need to give them money to maintain their unreasonable and selfish lifestyles?

They had their chance.  Give the $700,000,000,000 to us so we can have ours.
