    Bailout outrage

    More from staarr54

    My Congressman Didn't Ask Me

I'm extremely upset with this type of bailout.

First........I don't believe in bailouts.  If the American people don't get "bailouts" then why does American businesses?

Second........if a bailout is going to be considered, why not truly ask the American people what they want.  For instance, why didn't the Texas Congressman fly home to Texas, hold "town meetings" in Austin, Houston, and Dallas (for example) and discuss with the people of Texas ideas for a bailout.  Then after hearing the people's ideas, take those "best" ideas back to Washington, and propose them to the rest of the Congressman, who ALSO had gone back to THEIR home states and discussed with THEIR people bailout ideas as well.  WHY on God's Green Earth didn't this happen??

I don't know.  Maybe we, the people of this country, are getting what we deserve.  We are apathetic and a not caring country............who has become lazy and distracted by selfish feelings.  Sadly, I'm INCLUDED with that group of people.  I'm heavily in debt, have lost a lot of income, and could use some financial help.  But.........I'm reaping what I've sowed at this point, and if the government of this country is going to "bail" somebody out, then it should the American individual and not businesses.

We, the American people, (myself included) better get with it SOON, or we are going to have "hell to pay" in our future.  It may be too late............we will reap what we sow, come "heck or high water".   PLEASE AMERICANS..........stand up and fight for yourself.  Don't let this government (Republicans and Democrats alike) ruin  our lives!!!!!!!
