Danube River, Vienna; Sunken City, literally.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     U.S. expat Emily Russ lives in Vienna, Austria, one of several areas in Europe including Germany and the Czech Republic where flooding and rising rivers have inundated historic cities and forced mass evacuations of low-lying areas. "In Vienna, the flooding is under control due to excellent systems along the Danube [river]," she said. "However, travellers on Danube River Cruises seem to be held in Vienna at the moment until the river subsides. [Tuesday] I saw about 15 cruise ships; normally there are 1-2. Also, areas around the Copa Cagrana area (a string of restaurants and bars) are under water."
