This iReport is part of an assignment:
Remembering Paul Newman |
Fishing Pond at a Hole in the Wall Camp in California
My daughter and I were priviledged enough to spend an entire Saturday helping clean up one of these incredible Hole in the Wall Camps here in California. This is the Painted Turtle Camp. This place was so inspiring, so amazing, so moving, that it brought me to tears. I was so proud to have been able to help clean the camp for the next group of campers. I will definitely take my daughter back there to volunteer whenever the opportunity arises.
Thank you, Paul Newman, for knowing what really matters and for founding the Hole in the Wall Camps. Thank you for putting your "star" power to good use and for setting an example that all Hollywood should follow. Earth lost a magnificent human being, but heaven gained a saint.
