This iReport is part of an assignment:
Off to Kindergarten
My son Chase recently graduated from Preschool and it was quite a momentous occasion!
For weeks he practiced his lines for the final program and constantly reminded me that he would soon be graduating. His excitement grew contagious and I couldn't wait to see him and his class show off all they had learned throughout the year!
As the graduating class recited poems and sang songs related to each letter of the alphabet, I anxiously awaited the letter 'K'. As Chase approached the microphone and looked out into the crowd, he clearly spoke the words "K is for Kindergarten, we start in the Fall; When we started Preschool, we were very small; We're much bigger now, look how tall; So it's off to Kindergarten in the Fall." In that moment, I was filled with so many emotions... Proud that he had done a great job, surprised at how mature he has become, and sad that my baby is quickly growing up!
The pictures I've shared are those that appeared during the Graduation Ceremony that followed the program. The students wore adorable pink and blue gowns and each received an official diploma. Presenting.... the future Class of 2026.
