The Dying Cicadas in Staten Island

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     LimorGarf says she started noticing all the dead cicadas this week on the sidewalk near her bus stop in Staten Island. 'I think they look really beuatiful with the red eyes ... it kind of reminds you of how short life is really. That's why people are so fascinated with them. Life is so short, you do what you have to do and then you're gone.'
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

I saw so many dead Cicadas in the past couple of days, but today, they were literally falling off the trees. Most were already dead, but some were still gasping for a few last breaths of air. I photographed and shot some videos with the only camera I had on me- My iPhone.
