Military wifes lose almost 300 pounds!

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Navy wives Diane Ritchie, left, and Anne Moyer, right, lost 276 pounds together. See more "before" pictures here, and go here to see more "after" pictures.
    - dsashin, CNN iReport producer

My wife and her best friend decided back in early 2011 to set a goal weight for both of them to reach which was 165 pounds. They did this while we were stationed in Chicago with the Navy and her best friend was stationed with her husband with the Navy in Norfolk Va. My wife started out over 260 pounds and her friend Anne had a longer journey starting over 325 pounds. Once they have both hit their goal, myself and Anne's husband agreed to take them on a cruise. They did the first 1.5 years separated by almost a thousand miles with daily phone calls to help motivate each other on the rough weigh-in days. With separate diets and workout schedules, they helped each other get to where they are today. They are living within a mile of each other now and are regulars at the local YMCA everyday for an average of 2 hours each day. My wife has met her goal weight and Anne has lost her body weight and is within 2 pounds of reaching that 165 pound mark. Needless to say we are extremely proud of these two remarkable women who accomplished this even while their husbands were deployed at various times through their journey.
