    Protests break out in Brazil

    Brazilian Protests and Outside Help

President Dilma Rouseff has been trying desperately the calm the angry protesters that have taken to the streets for the past week in Brazil. Rouseff has offered a wide range of actions to reform the political system including some changes to healthcare. The Brazilian government has made minimal headway in controlling inflation by cutting taxes. The country is in the middle of an infrastructure meltdown and the people have had it demanding widespread change for ports, public transit, health and education. It is not just the infrastructure there has also been several corruption scandals they still have not gone to trial, causing even more concern from the people.

Some of the Brazilian press are claiming that these are just extreme left wing riots and nothing could be further from the truth. These are not bored adolescents with nothing better to do. It is the educated trying to put an end to these political issues. It is the young middle-class who is fed up with the political atmosphere of Brazil.

This goes further than just a rise in the public transit fares. These protests are at the heart of the problems in Brazil, mainly their lack of education and scant access to good, affordable healthcare. There is only so much that companies like MonaVie can do to help the Brazilian people. By taking multiple expeditions to India, Thailand and Brazil, this company truly believes the health of every single person is worthy of the attention.

Through the organization, The MORE Project, MonaVie is doing what the Brazilian government has failed to do, dedicating itself to providing resources to the impoverished masses. Resources like food and shelter and empowerment through education. Get involved in Brazil, give people hope while they fight the government to get what are the basic rights of every human being.

You can start there, themoreproject.org. Do not stop there though, it is not just about giving your money, it is about giving your voice as well. Be an advocate fight and stand with people even if it is just behind a keyboard.
