Same-sex couples react to Supreme Court rulings

    Equality Rocks

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Maryann Tancredi, pictured here with her wife Nicole, says this photo shows her celebrating her 31st birthday in 2005. She says she is happy and excited to hear of the rulings, but is frustrated because her marriage is not recognized in Pennsylvania. 'Due to the fact that the State of Pennsylvania does not recognize Nicole as my legal next of kin, we are basically forced to spend money to have an attorney put provisions in place that would otherwise be afforded to a legally married couple in Pennsylvania.'
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

My wife and I have been together for almost 9 years and exchanged vows and rings this past March, in Key West FL. We are in the process of working with an attorney to ensure that our estates go to each other in the event of either of our deaths because our union is not recognized in our home state of Pennsylvania. Today's Supreme Court rulings give us hope that some day soon we too will recognized as equal.
