    I love my Corvette

    Family Vacation

When my oldest daughter was entering her Senior year of College and the youngest would graduate High School the next year also. My wife and I figured we would be taking our last FAMILY vacation. I instructed the ladies to pick a vacation spot, anywhere, as long as it was a road trip. The youngest wanted to go to drive to Chicago from our home in North Carolina, as thats where she wanted to go to college. The oldest agreed knowing the shopping would be fun in the Big City, just as long as she could go by the factory where Corvettes were produced. She shares her passion for cars with me.

I did the research and knew i could not pass up a chance to visit a place which held a LOT of dream cars, The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY.
After touring the factory we visited the Museum where I decided to pickup a different kind of keepsake for the trip something i could frame and put in my office. A raffle ticket, for the just released C6 Corvette complete with the new logo and dated not long after our visit. My wife and girls could not believe i would spend a $100 on a small piece of paper with all that anticipated shopping in Chicago but i didn't need another t-shirt and figured it was as close to a Vette as i would ever be.

What a surprise when on Labor Day the Corvette Museum called my house to let us know i had WON. it was the 1st 2005 C6 to be given away and i even got to pick the color and options.

My wife and i still have the car and enjoy it often making trips back to the Museum for some of the special events they ofter have and keep in touch with the many friends we have made. This was perfect timing it just has 2 seats and its just enough.
