    Ciarra-living with Down syndrome

I wanted to share my daughter Ciarra, who just turned 10. She has Down syndrome. She is a remarkable kid, funny and smart, active and really enjoying her life. She is in 4th grade, fully included. Lots of friends, a busy social life, plays sports, reads very well, and loves to learn. I used to be so afraid of "different", now I know that different isnt bad, it is just DIFFERENT. Ciarra is the funnest kid, and DS is a piece of cake.
