Asia's cultural diversity

"Scene by Scene: Films of Asia Pacific" is a series of four 30-minute documentaries celebrating the very best of film across the Asia-Pacific region. It airs on CNN International throughout October prior to the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) ceremony held at Australia's Gold Coast.

 

Now is your chance to play filmmaker. Send us your own produced video that represents Asia's cultural diversity, and it may be featured on CNN.

 

Important dates: Entries open on June 24, 2009; Entries close on August 15, 2009, before midnight (Hong Kong time).

 

How to take part: Step 1: Take a photo or video (no longer than 3 minutes) that best illustrates cultural diversity and traditions from the Asia-Pacific region; Step 2: On this page, click on the "Share Your Story" button to upload your entry. Step 3: Input your full name, the title of your work, the location of the shot, and a brief description of your submission (under 50 words). The title of your work must have "Scene by Scene" as the prefix. Example title - Scene by Scene: Children of Sri Lanka

 

About your iReport: The following criteria will be used to judge the photo or video: Relevance to cultural diversity and traditions in the Asia-Pacific region; creativity and originality; composition.  Who can enter: You must be 18 years old or over. This promotion is open to residents of Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. There is no fee to enter.
