(CNN) -- Ferguson, Missouri – a suburb of St. Louis – was thrust into the national spotlight after the August 9 shooting of unarmed teen Michael Brown by police. Protests have taken place every day and night after the incident, some escalating into violence between demonstrators and law enforcement. And along the way, countless people have been documenting the events surrounding Brown’s death on social media.
