What’s in a name? For the British royal family, a birth name is not something that is taken lightly. Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, after much speculation, are calling their new baby George Alexander Louis. The baby was born Monday, July 22, at St. Mary's Hospital in London.
The name choice is a traditional one in the royal family. There have been six previous King Georges, the most recent being the current queen's father.
Do you also have a first name that's traditional in your family? We want to hear from you. Tell us the origins of your name and who else in your family shares it. Why did your parents pick that name for you?
Send us a baby photo of yourself, if you can, or a current photo of you and tell us your thoughts and experiences. Your story could be part of CNN’s coverage!
