More than one in four Americans ages 18 and older suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.
Mental illness still carries a stigma for some people, but there are plenty of stories of people leading successful, productive and happy lives after being diagnosed with a mental disorder.
