The term “special needs” is often defined by what a child or what milestones he or she is unable to reach. But parents of children with special needs often learn to redefine success.
If you have a special needs child, we would love to hear from you. Tell us about the moment you learned your child would have special needs. What have you learned about yourself while raising your child? What emotions did you experience when your son or daughter was born? What have been the most exciting milestones, and what have been the greatest challenges?
Share your story, along with a non-professional photo of you and your child. Your stories and photos could be featured on CNN.com.
