Famed American author John Updike has died. Updike was most famous for his short story collections and his "Rabbit" series, for which he won a Pulitzer Prize. Known for his highly stylized writing, Updike wrote more than 25 novels. His work also appeared regularly in The New Yorker. He died January 27 at age 76 after a battle with lung cancer.
