25 years ago this week, a Russian programmer with a knack for puzzles decided to create a video game that would let players arrange puzzle pieces together. Thus was born the worldwide gaming phenomenon, “Tetris”. According to the Tetris Co., the game sold more than 35 million copies on the Nintendo Game Boy in 1989.
